FAQ

Q: Why did you decide to breed Goldendoodles?

A: My husband surprised me with our Standard Poodle, Fiona as a birthday gift because I had always dreamed of having one. After we got her, we had several people suggest we breed Goldendoodles. Being the dog lover that I am, I weighed the pros and cons of breeding and got serious about it, mostly because it meant my husband would finally be on board with having more dogs! We spent the next 18 months researching and educating ourselves on proper breeding practices and techniques to produce the best puppies possible.

Our breeding crew are family pets that live a happy, normal life inside with us. We have 3 young sons who love every minute they spend with the litters (as do my husband and I), and they help us by getting the pups used to being handled by small children and loud noises which is beneficial to the development of the puppy.

Q: What is the difference between an F1, F1b and F1BB Goldendoodle?

A: An F1, or first generation Goldendoodle, is 1/2 Poodle and 1/2 Golden Retriever with a low to no shed coat and loose curls/wavy hair.

An F1b Goldendoodle is 75% Poodle and 25% Golden Retriever, and the most popular generation of Goldendoodles with low to no shed coats.

An F1BB Goldendoodle is 85% Poodle and 15% Golden Retriever which have no-shed coats, making them the best option for households with moderate to severe allergies.

Q: What size will the puppies be?

A: Our Standard sized Goldendoodles are 50-75 lbs fully grown and our Mini Goldendoodles are 20-35lbs fully grown.

Q: Should I get a male or female?

A: Males tend to be larger than the females, but other than that there isn't much difference when choosing between the two. All of our dogs have high intelligence, loving temperaments, and low to no shed coats.

Q: I have allergies, can I still get a puppy?

A: People with mild to moderate allergies have done well with F1 and F1b Goldendoodles. For someone with severe allergies I would suggest one of our F1bb Goldendoodles.

Q: Where are you located?

A: We are located in Moyock, NC about 10 minutes from the Virginia border and within an hour from most of Hampton Roads.

Q: Will the puppies have their first shots/deworming?

A: Our puppies will receive all age-appropriate vaccines and dewormers before leaving our home.
